As part of future planning and to ensure the expansive business development of our company, we are looking for a committed and success-oriented IT system administrator (m/f/d) with a focus on storage and backup.
Split workspace of 40h/week with 32h in internal system administration & 8h in project work in the storage & backup environment.

Your tasks:

  • Installation, configuration and administration of server and client systems with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems
  • Installation and configuration of storage & data backup systems
  • Installation, configuration and administration of network components
  • Installation, configuration and administration of WLAN infrastructures
  • Installation, configuration and administration of IP based telephone systems
  • User support (on site, by remote maintenance, by phone) for software and hardware queries and faults
  • Analysis of hardware and software requirements and their procurement
  • Adaptation of systems and software, advice on the selection and procurement of operational software
  • Ensuring the security of corporate information by implementing security measures such as access controls and firewalls
  • Creation and maintenance of infrastructure documentation
  • Cooperation with third parties

You will also support our customers/partners in projects in the team with the following tasks

  • Configuration and administration of SAN + NAS storage systems
  • Configuration and administration of backup environments
  • Technical administration of backup solutions (preferably experience IBM Spectrum Protect, Commvault, Veeam and/or Rubrik)
  • Setup and monitoring of backups
  • Processing of IT tickets (incident, change, problem)
  • Error analysis and troubleshooting of IT malfunctions
  • Documentation of all activities in the system

Your profile

  • Completed tech. Vocational training and / or retraining
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the IT environment in a comparable position
  • Team playe
  • Ability to find innovative solutions in complex customer projects
  • Good knowledge of the administration of storage and backup systems
  • Good knowledge of error analysis and troubleshooting
  • Competence in the ITIL Foundation area
  • Knowledge of Linux/Windows and VMware
  • Good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
  • Participation in internal training
